Vikas has been popular
throughout the Indian music scene in Canada and the US. He has
astounded audiences with lively performances in Atlanta, Detroit,
Buffalo, New York, Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, Holland, London,
New Delhi and the Caribbean islands. At 26, he has over 300 shows
and a music album to his credit. His shows have been well received
and appreciated by the worldly audience. He has done numerous shows
for the Govt. of India and major organisations like - Cancer Society
of Canada, AAPI, NIMDAC and Indo-Canadian Cultural Association of
Durham. Gifted with a versatile vocal range, his music spans various
genres - Bollywood Film Music (1940's - 2009), Indian-Pop, Bhangra,
Folk, Qawwali, Ghazals, Bhajans and Semi-Classical.
He has shared stage with popular Bollywood stars like - Udit Narayan,
Vinod Rathod, Shri Manna Dey, Sharda, Nitin Mukesh and Sumit Kumar.
His interests don't stop here but involve acting and modeling as
well. In India, he has acted in a music video and has modeled for
well known brand names like Pepsi, Cosmopolitan, Liberty Footwear
and LML Trendy among others. After completing his post-secondary
education in Computer science, he went to India for a year to get
training in Hindustani Classical music.
He has sung numerous jingles for FM Radio - India, recorded songs
with independent artists of India and Canada. He has also given
voice-overs in an American cartoon show - Rocket Robinhood and
Hollywood movies like - Larva and Mosquito man under the banner of
Ansh Entertainment. He recently won the first runner-up title at the
North American Desi Idol competition that was held in Chicago, IL.
This versatile performer and a gifted singer presently works for IBM
corp.and resides in Canada.
